We invite you to submit your presentation at ICBB2019! The Call for Speakers is open until July 31, 2019. All oral presentations are to be delivered in English, and will be a duration of 20 minutes. We will select qualified oral presentations from submitted abstracts after review. More qualified speakers will be announced soon after confirmation. To be a speaker of ICBB2019, please submit your abstract [click here].

Prof. Ikuro ABE
Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, The University of Tokyo, Japan
Ikuro Abe received his B.S. (1984) and Ph.D. (1989) from The University of Tokyo. After two years postdoctoral research with Professor Guy Ourisson at the CNRS Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles, and mostly with Professor Michel Rohmer at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Mulhouse (1989-1991), he moved to the USA to work with Professor Glenn D. Prestwich at the State University of New York at Stony Brook (1991-1996) and then at the University of Utah (1996-1998). He returned to Japan to join the faculty at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Shizuoka (1998-2009), and is currently Professor at The University of Tokyo (2009-).  H-index: 39.
Research Interests: mostly focus on exploring and engineering the natural products biosynthesis.

Prof. Bozena Kaminska-Kaczmarek
Head of Laboratory of Molecular Neurobiology, Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland
Graduated in 1985 from the University of Warsaw; did Ph.D. in Biochemistry (1991) at the Nencki Institute and postdoctoral training in 1994-1996 at the McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She returned to lead a research group at the Nencki Institute where she has been ever since. In 2001-2002 was a visiting scientist at the Brain Research Institute, UCLA, USA. In 2003 she received a national Professorship and became a head of the Laboratory of Transcription Regulation; in 2013 created a new Laboratory of Molecular Neurobiology. H-index: 42.
Research Interests:Kaminska's group is focused on understanding molecular mechanisms of neuroinflammation and cancer related inflammation, in particular the role of chromatin modifications in transcription and their involvement in cancer.

Prof. Tomasz Twardowski
Head of Department of Protein Biosynthesis, Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland
He is author of nearly 80 original experimental works, over 100 scientific statements, more than 200 review works and around 70 popular articles as well as author, co-author or scientific editor of 25 books. He has been promotor of 10 doctoral dissertations.
Research Interests: the regulatory mechanism of genome expression in eukaryotic systems, particularly in plants.

Prof. Dr. Takashi Jin
Nano-Bio Probes lab. RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research (BDR), Japan
Research Interests: research and develops novel nano-bio probes for visualization of molecular and cellular dynamics in biological systems
Presentation Title: Recent progress in molecular-imaging and techniques based on near-infrared fluorescent probes in the second optical window (1000-1400nm)  (To be confirmed)

Prof. Dr. Silvia Mittler
Department of Physics and Astronomy, The University of Western Ontario, Canada
She is running the Laboartory for Photonics of Surfaces and Interfeces, she was holding a Tier I Canada Reaserch Chair for 7 years (2004-2011). Her research was selected various times for an issue of the Virtual Journal of Biological Physics Research.
Research Interests: Photonics of Surfaces and Interfaces: biomedical interface microscopy and sensors

Dr. Derek James Dosdall
Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Depatment of Surgery, University of Utah, USA.
Research Interests:  focus on mapping of cardiac arrhythmias. He has developed chronic animal models of atrial fibrillation to investigate the substrate and conduction changes that occur in the cardiac tissue over time.

Dr. Naseem A. Gaur
Yeast Biofuel Group, International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, India
Research Interests: Focuses on the development of novel strains for second generation biofuels production, with special emphasis on yeast, Surface display of enzymes and consolidated bioprocessing. Monocomponent cellulase production and development of novel cocktails for deconstruction of lignocellulosic biomass.  He also maintains a strong interest in the field of multidrug resistance in human fungal pathogens.

Prof.Dr. Poonsuk Prasertsan
